Toronto Metropolitan University\u2019s Social Media Lab<\/a> has launched DeepfakesTracker.org<\/a>, a portal designed to track and raise awareness about the prevalence of synthetic media, aka deepfakes, and manipulated or out-of-context media and narratives in our information ecosystem. This comprehensive resource offers a real-time dashboard that tracks fact-checked deepfakes and an interactive deepfakes themes explorer that offers insights into the semantic similarities of deepsfakes. The portal equips users\u2014including policymakers, journalists, and the general public\u2014with the tools and knowledge to help detect deepfakes and better understand their societal impact.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
