Big Data & Society Journal Now Open for Submissions

We are pleased to announce that the new SAGE journal, Big Data & Society, submission platform is now open for submissions. The journal invites contributions that analyse Big Data practices and/or involve empirical engagements and experiments with innovative methods while also reflecting on the consequences for how societies are represented (epistemologies), realised (ontologies) and governed (politics). The journal encourages critical engagements with the term “Big Data” itself and especially encourage critical, reflexive and theoretically informed research that explores, debates, innovates, questions, rethinks empirical social science in relation to, but not limited by, a number of interrelated themes and topics:

  • Data Methods
  • Data Epistemologies
  • Data Ontologies
  • Data Politics

For more details about the various themes and topics outlined above please visit the Big Data & Society Blog and follow us on Twitter @BigDataSoc.  Journal information and submission guidelines can be found here.
